The American Heart Association CPR Instructor course is a two day course. Day one will be completed at home using the AHA CORE DVD provided to you. This program covers information on teaching and will take most of the day to complete. Once complete you will print out a completion certificate. This certificate must be brought to class with you. In addition, participants must provide a copy of their current CPR for Healthcare Provider card. Day two of the American Heart Association CPR Instructor Course will be held at LifeSavers Inc. and will cover information such as course organization, policies of both the American Heart Association and LifeSavers, Inc., administration of a course, advertising, equipment cleaning, changes in CPR and why they occur, skills testing, a written test and more.

  • A current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider Course taken at LifeSavers, Inc. within 3 months of Instructors Course.
  • CORE instructor program supplies by LifeSavers, Inc. must be completed prior to the Instructor Course.


  • Instructor candidates will be given the CPR for the Healthcare Provider Test. A score of 84% or better must be obtained. Additionally, CPR skills proficiency must be demonstrated. Students who do not pass the written or skills test will not be able to continue in the course.

    Merge onto US 1/9 South
    then take US 1/9 truck exit toward I-280
    stay straight to go onto NJ-7 West
    stay straight to go onto Turnpike / CR-508 West
    Merge onto I-280 West
    Take the New Road exit (Exit #1) toward Route 46
    Turn right onto Route 46 East
    About 3 miles look for Plymouth Street (CR-627) exit
    Cross over Route 46 go straight on Plymouth Street
    We are located on the left just before the traffic light.

    From NY City (Lincoln Tunnel):
    Merge onto NJ-495 West
    Take the Route 3 West Express exit toward Meadowlands Complex
    Merge onto Route 3 West
    Merge onto Route 46 West
    About 7 miles turn right onto Plymouth Street (CR-627)
    We are located on the left just before the traffic light.


    From NY City (George Washington Bridge):
    Keep left to take I-95 express lane South toward I-80
    Merge onto I-80 West
    Merge onto Route 46 West via Exit 52
    Follow signs to 46 West
    About 3 miles turn right onto Plymouth Street (CR-627)
    We are located on the left just before the traffic light.


    From Southern New Jersey:
    Take the Garden State Parkway North
    Take Exit 145 to I-280 West
    Take the New Road exit (Exit #1) toward Route 46
    Turn right onto Route 46 East
    About 3 miles look for Plymouth Street (CR-627) exit
    Cross over Route 46 go straight on Plymouth Street
    We are located on the left just before the traffic light.


    From Southern & Western New Jersey:
    Take I-78 East
    Merge onto I-287 North via Exit 29
    Merge onto I-80 East via Exit 41A
    Merge onto Route 46 East via Exit 47B
    About 3 miles look for Plymouth Street (CR-627) exit
    Cross over Route 46 go straight on Plymouth Street
    We are located on the left just before the traffic light.
