DESCRIPTION:**REGISTRATON FOR THIS COURSE IS CLOSED** \nThe American Heart Association CPR Instructor Course is a three part course. \nPart one is the AHA Instructor Essentials course is completed on-line at home or work. The course contains information on planning and preparation for courses\, teaching courses\, conducting written exams (if applicable)\, skills practice and skills testing\, and keeping your instructor status current. Upon successful completion a completion certificate is generated and should be printed out and brought to your instructor course. The Instructor Essentials course takes between 1-4 hours to complete. You will receive access to this course after registration. \nPart 2 two will be held at LifeSavers\, Inc in Fairfield\, NJ. Day two will cover information such as course organization\, policies of both the AHA and LifeSavers\, Inc\, card processing\, administration of a course\, advertising\, equipment cleaning\, changes in CPR and why they occur\, skills testing\, written test and more. \nPart 3 involves being monitored teaching a course. This can be done during one of LifeSavers\, Inc many courses or you can be evaluated at your own facility (depending on location.) This evaluation must be done within 6 months after completion of part 2. This part will be accomplished on the same day as part 2. \nPlan to be at LifeSavers from 8am until 4pm to complete everything. Lunch will be provided. \nIn addition to the steps above\, all participants must posses a valid/current “BLS Provider or Professional Level” certification card. Students should have a good understanding of the BLS CPR curriculum and be able to pass a skills test and written exam. \nOnce all steps are successfully completed\, the participant will become an American Heart Association BLS CPR Instructor and able to conduct classes on their own. You must be over 18 to become an AHA instructor. \nThe class will start promptly at 8am. If you are not able to make the course in time\, please contact us and we will gladly reschedule you. \nStudents will receive a BLS Instructor Manual included with their registration.
