New Jersey Licensed Massage Therapist CPR Requirements

New Jersey has requirements for Massage Therapists - they must be certified by an accredited training center like LifeSavers, Inc. for CPR, and AED training.

New Jersey Licensed Massage Therapist CPR Requirements

The National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork (NCBTMB) and Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards (FSMTB) requires Massage Therapists to be certified in Basic CPR AED and First Aid from the American Heart Association (AHA) or a substantially similar approved course.

Proof of the current CPR AED and First Aid Certification from a course approved by the American Heart Association (AHA) or a substantially similar approved course is a requirement for applying for your license to the Massage, Bodywork and Somatic Therapy Examining Committee.
