Description
Nearly 80 percent of cardiac arrests occur outside the hospital. And in recent years, OSHA reports that approximately 4 million workplace injuries and illnesses occurred annually. Providing training that enables employees to take appropriate rescuer action at the workplace is an essential element of an effective safety program.
The Heartsaver® First Aid Online With CPR & AED Part 1 Course is for businesses and other entities that want to provide first aid, CPR and AED training to their employees or designated first responders. This course presents the cognitive portion online (Part 1) and offers a blended learning solution for organizations that face obstacles implementing traditional classroom-based training. To help students gain confidence in performing skills, Part 1 is combined with a hands-on skills session (Part 2) where students have one-on-one time with an AHA Instructor to practice skills. A skills test (Part 3) with an AHA Instructor ensures skills proficiency. Upon successful completion of all three parts students receive their course completion card.
