New Jersey Nurse/Nurse Practitioner CPR Requirements
The New Jersey State Board of Pharmacy now requires all pharmacists to have CPR training at the Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers Level for giving immunizations. – American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
Current certification in the American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care providers or in a course that complies with guidelines created by the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCCR) is provided by Lifesavers. The ILCOR guidelines, International Consensus on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) Science with Treatment Recommendations have been in place since 2005.
