Description
This item contains PART 1 (Online) and PART 2 & 3 (completed at LifeSavers, Inc) of the BLS Provider Online Course. After purchasing this item an e-mail will be sent to you with an access key within 24 hours. This key will be used to access PART 1 of the BLS Provider Online Course.
Upon completion of PART 1 the student should call LifeSavers, Inc. to schedule an appointment for PART 2 & 3 (Skill Practice & Testing) of the BLS Provider Course. After successful completion for PART 2 a Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider Course certification card will be issued.
Access codes will be emailed within 24 hours when orders are placed between 8:00am–5:00pm EST Monday–Friday. If order is placed on Friday after 5pm EST, code will be emailed Monday morning.

The American Heart Association (AHA) recognizes that healthcare providers have knowledge and skills acquired from prior CPR training and years of patient care, but finding convenient ways to maintain those skills or gain recertification can be challenging. The new Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) Online Renewal course is part of AHA’s new eLearning program and represents the cognitive portion (Part 1) of this blended learning course for Healthcare Provider Renewal Certification. Combined with a Skills Test (Part 2), the BLS HCP Online renewal is an ideal option for the healthcare provider who has previously taken a BLS course and would like to easily obtain a new healthcare provider card.
How does the BLS Online Renewal work?
A student can purchase a BLS Online renewal key from LifeSavers, Inc. Once purchased, the student will receive a key number via e-mail within 24 hours. Once the student enters the online key into the HCP online web-site (provided via e-mail) the student will have six months to complete the online portion of the course. Once the student has completed the online portion, a certificate is produced. The student will take this certificate to any American Heart Association training center for a skills test. Upon successful completion of the skills test, a certification card can be issued. Students must complete the skills test within 60 days upon passing the online portion.
