Township of Washington residents were thrilled to find out about new emergency aid machines that will be provided to all emergency vehicles. Councilman Thomas Sears explained during the Feb. 1 council meeting that the township will be the first town in the Pascack Valley to have these new machines, which will help save lives and make it easier for emergency response units to resuscitate a person for a long period of time.
The Automated Chest Compression (ACC) systems are hands-free devices that can begin administering chest compressions upon emergency services’ arrival.
